I really do not like it when people take an issue and twist it into something it’s not for their own political gain. It detracts from the real issue and makes a mockery of whatever issue they’re claiming. For example, the people opposed to the immigration law in Arizona are claiming the law is racist, while the law is aimed at all illegals. An illegal from Canada will be arrested and deported just as a Mexican. They claim it’s racist because they believe Mexicans will be targeted unfairly. While there will, undoubtedly, be some police officers who confront Hispanics and check their citizenship based on race, there’s really no other way around the facts. By requiring everyone to prove citizenship, we would all have to carry papers. Those who don’t can be detained and deported.
Papers! Let me see your papers, comrade! Is that the type of stuff you want to hear? No, it’s not.
The fact is, that the law is not racists and these people are just using the race card to garner sympathy and it hurts the civil rights movement as a whole. If the law were written or interpreted by the courts to apply only to Hispanics, then that would be racist. Stop whining, you liberal little whiney babies. Hell, just look at the picture here. Have these people even bathed in the last month? It doesn’t look like it. Especially that girl and the guy to her right.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. If you’re going to protest the immigration law, do it for real reasons, don’t just scream racism and look like a retard.
