It’s been too long, folks…

It’s been to long since I’ve posted.  I don’t want to go into all the details, but just know that I’ve been having a really rough time and am working through it to get back to writing.

What’s been going on in the world since my last post?  Lots.  As you know we had that horrible event in Connecticut, we’ve had several shootings around the country that are just bazaar in the way they happened.  Then you get all the pundits on the left screaming for gun control and calling the NRA leadership a bunch of narrow-minded extremists.  Those retards on the left politicized these events more than anyone.

How was your Christmas?  Mine was peaceful.  I watched a movie and relaxed all day.  I spent time with my boys on Christmas Eve giving them their gifts.

Let’s see… the fiscal cliff, or as many are calling it, the Obama Cliff, looms over us.  Keep this in mind.  This is not the Obama cliff, it’s a culmination of Obama and his predecessors.  Obama just added enough to it to speed up the process.

Lybia, oh, Lybia.  Heads are starting to roll as a part of the fall out over the attack and the poor response from the State Department.

So where do we go from here?  Keep in mind the Administration and their allies are working to further restrict firearms.  Good luck buying an AR15 and ammo.  Everyone sold out within days of the announcement.  Well, everyone except Dick’s Sporting Goods.  They immediately caved to political and social pressure of the left and pulled all their AR15s from the shelf.

When the government decides to outlaw such tools, I have a feeling Dick’s will be proactive in helping the feds whittle away at our 2nd Amendment rights.  What do you think?

Here’s the statement from the Dick’s:

We are extremely saddened by the unspeakable tragedy that occurred last week in Newtown, CT, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families, and to the entire community.

Out of respect for the victims and their families, during this time of national mourning we have removed all guns from sale and from display in our store nearest to Newtown and suspended the sale of modern sporting rifles in all of our stores chainwide.

We continue to extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by this terrible tragedy.

While their statement seems nice enough, the political bowing shows that when the going gets rough, they’ll cave in first.

It amazes me that they think people won’t see through this.  Ok, Off my soapbox.

Oh, yeah.  Did y’all hear?  The world ended on 12/21/12.  I know it was supposed to, but apparently it actually did, and we now live in some other paranormal world, or something like that.

I’ve also heard that the world didn’t end, but it certainly changed as a result of the Mayan calendar ending.  I feel the same, I don’t know about you, but I feel the same.

It’s been a bit crazy, huh?
