Thanks to the Liberty Crier and Lawrence Taylor, a California DUI attorney, for alerting me to this.

"Unlimited power resting directly on force, not limited by anything, not restrained by any laws or any absolute rules. Nothing else but that." Is this what the sheriff had in mind? “Unlimited power resting directly on force, not limited by anything, not restrained by any laws or any absolute rules. Nothing else but that.” Is this what the sheriff had in mind?

Buried amidst the usual election year pablum from Sheriff Ed Brown of Onslow County, North Carolina, was this absolutely horrifying declaration:

“Those in the law enforcement profession have complete power and authority over you, your life, you family, your loved ones, your rights, your freedom, your future, and everything precious to life.”

Yes he actually said this. Click here and scroll down to the second red…

All I can say is its about time!

OKLAHOMA  – A dispute over land in Nevada between rancher Cliven Bundy and the Federal Government began decades ago.

Bundy says his family’s cattle have grazed on the land without interference since 1870.

The Bureau of Land Management says Bundy hadn’t paid his grazing fees since 1993, owing the government more than 1 million dollars.

The B.L.M. says Bundy was allowing his cattle to graze illegally, which triggered a forced round-up of about 400 of Bundy’s cattle just last week.
The cows were later released.

Organizers with the Oklahoma Militia say they have members in Nevada who say Bundy’s cattle were unlawfully rounded up by the B.L.M.

Militia member Scott Shaw comments on the round-up “evidently in America we don’t actually own the property anymore, if you ever did.”

The round-up sparked an armed standoff, but it wasn’t the Bundy family who owns the cattle, it was…

White House adviser fuming over photo controversy, “end of all selfies”

Look, the White House is butthurt again!

WASHINGTON – As an Oklahoma star was celebrating at the Academy of Country Music awards with a “selfie,” the White House is thinking about changing its policy on the pictures.

Country stars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan snapped a picture before the award show started.

However, that exact action came under fire from the White House.

Officials have contacted Samsung after a “selfie” of the president and David Ortiz surfaced on Twitter, and was retweeted by the company.

Senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said, “In general, whenever someone tries to use the president’s likeness to promote a product, that’s a problem.”

Samsung retweeted the photo in promotion of its Galaxy Note 3, the phone Ortiz used to take the picture.

9/11 Truthers – Were they onto something?

While I tend not to trust what the government says about anything ever, I really never jumped on the 9/11 Truther bandwagon.  However, new evidence may change that.  Whenever there’s a story of our government covering up something I pay attention.  I, then, take that story and compare it to other stories, weigh the sources, and think about the subject in the most non-biased manner I can.

Surprise , Surprise … Arapahoe School Gunman Was Another Disturbed Progressive

Arapahoe High Gunman Held Strong Political Beliefs, Classmates Said

” In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith, who through his invisible-hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as “Keynesian.”

” I was wondering to all the neoclassicals and neoliberals, why isn’t the market correcting itself?” he wrote. “If the invisible hand is so strong, shouldn’t it be able to overpower regulations?”

Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing “you republicans are so cute” and posting an image that reads: “The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ’em Die, Climate Change: Let ’em Die, Gun Violence: Let ’em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ’em Die, More War: Let ’em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?

Daily Caller -The Cleveland Clinic, which is ranked among the top four U.S. hospitals, is making layoffs and cutting its budget more than $100 million as a direct result of the Affordable Care Act, the Daily Caller has learned.

“The cuts for 2014, about half of those are related to the Affordable Care Act…We anticipate a reduction in workforce,” Cleveland Clinic executive director of communications Eileen Sheil said in an interview with TheDC.

The Cleveland Clinic is reducing its 2014 budget by $330 million.“We offered early retirement to 3,000 employees,” Sheil said, but noted that the early retirement option recently offered to staff was “voluntary” for eligible employees.

“The $330 million cut is not all layoffs,” Sheil said, noting that the Clinic is also cutting operating-room expenses and paying less to vendors.

“We’re taking money out of vendors, renegotiating contracts, looking at where we can reduce duplications, improve supply chain…

Pat Dollard -Why would Muslim oil billionaires finance and develop controlling relationships with black college students? Well, like anyone else, they would do it for self-interest. And what would their self-interest be? We all know the top two answers to that question: 1. a Palestinian state and 2. the advancement of Islam in America. The idea then was to advance blacks who would facilitate these two goals to positions of power in the Federal government, preferably, of course, the Presidency. And why would the Arabs target blacks in particular for this job? Well, for the same reason the early communists chose them as their vanguard for revolution (which literally means “change”) in America. Allow me to quote Trotsky, in 1939: “The American Negroes, for centuries the most oppressed section of American society and the most discriminated against, are potentially the most revolutionary element of the population. They are designated by…

For Russia,  A Sense of Vindication In Iran Nuclear Deal

An upbeat Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov lauded the negotiated  settlement, saying it will benefit everyone in the long run. Russia has opposed  many of the sanctions on Iran.

By Fred Weir, Correspondent
Moscow-“No losers, only winners,” was  the gist of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov extremely upbeat statement on  Sunday’s nuclear deal with Iran, posted on his ministry’s official website.
The agreement, arrived at in Geneva during the small hours with most  foreign ministers of the P5 + 1 (the five permanent United Nations Security  Council members, plus Germany) in attendance, ends a decade of tensions,  uncertainty, and war talk over Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions.
Though  it’s only an interim accord, Mr. Lavrov said, it changes the whole perspective  for solving other issues in the turbulent Middle East, particularly prospects  for peace in civil-war-torn Syria.
The deal…

Mark12ministries's Weblog

Purpose: To provide a biblical view of how to prepare for disasters, large and small, so that the individual Christian, the Christian family, and the local Church can give glory to God in the midst of trying times, defend and provide for their families and church, be a blessing to other Believers who were not as prepared, to reach out to the lost with the Gospel while serving them in a crisis, and to preserve a Christian civilization for the future.

Method: This category of the Mark12ministries Blog will include a series of postings that will present ideas about how to prepare to survive the various disasters, large and small, that we may encounter. It is intended to stir up a godly discussion on the topics visited and to generally bring in a sanctified form of survivalism to the Church at large. For too long the Church has relegated topics…

Gun Control: Do you support it?

Do you support gun control, or as it is currently being called, ending gun violence?  Well, of course, I’d support ending gun violence, but not by using the means of more gun control.
