The NSA tricked ya!

All you Facebook users were duped by the NSA.  I’m sure I was one of those duped, too.  This really makes me angry.  In the “land of the free” our own government spies on us as if we are all terrorists.  I can understand them tricking foreign targets that posed an actual threat, but you know as well as I do that those tools target us, as well.  See the report from Digital Trends below, but first I want to send a message to the NSA:  Stop messing with us.

Imagine this world and what would you do?

Think of living in a country in which the police can come into your home, randomly or with warrants, and check to see if you have firearms and if they are stored properly.  If the weapon or weapons are found to not be secured preoperly you face losing your firearms, a fine, and maybe even jail time.  Think of a country in which the federal authorities listen to your conversations even as you walk down the street.  Makes me think of East Germany or the Soviet Union.  I’m old enough to remember both those places.

Don’t Search Me, Bro!

Now everyone knows I love a good abuse-of-power-by-the-police story.  Well, here’s a good one for you.  So, there’s this kid, well a 21 year-old young man, who pulls up to a DUI checkpoint on Independence Day in Rutherford County, Tennessee, where he is subsequently harassed by local police.

Are preppers the bad guys? Really?

This is an article from Infowars.  I felt it is necessary to get this article out there simply because of the political climate and the threat many in DC feel from the prepper and Libertarian communities.

29 June, 2012

I was talking to a couple of colleagues today and the topic of privacy came up.  We spoke about the ACA (ObamaCare), drones, and other 4th Amendment violations.  Keep in mind, there are very few conservatives at my office.  The discussion got me to thinking about a lot of things this evening.  So, I decided that to cover some of the goings-on when it comes to our 4th Amendment.

Police abusing their authority? Never! <– sarcasm

From The Blaze’s Jonathon M. Seidl

Once in a while if you’re driving down the road, you might see a motorcyclist wearing a small camera on his helmet. It’s not too common, but it’s not out of the ordinary. And being a rider myself, the practice seems to be an increasing suggestion on message boards. But if you’re a rider in Dallas, TX, you might want to rethink the idea. At least if you’re in the area of Dallas Deputy Sheriff James Westbrook.

The Latest on Drones

If you’ve followed me for very long, you’ll know the Bill of Rights is dear to my heart.  You’ll also know that I’ve been focusing on this drone thing for a while now.  Some people thought I was crazy and paranoid, but more and more people are coming out about it.

I really enjoy reading Judge Napolitano’s writing.  The man is a brilliant Constitutionalist.  I found an opinion piece he wrote today on Fox News that summed up how I feel about the drones issue pretty concisely.  Click here to read his op-ed.  He stated that if this were done in Thomas Jefferson’s time, there would’ve been muskets trained on it to bring it down.

Drones! EPA Defends Them!

We all know the EPA is nothing more than a bully agency, much like the BATFE.  They flex their political muscle whenever they feel the need, pushing Americans around like pawns in a game of chess.  That’s not even the worse of it.  The EPA has now admitted they’ve been spying on US farmers since 2010 with the use of drones!

ACLU: What Your Cell Phone Company Is Telling the Government About You

Now, most of you know that I generally do not trust the ACLU.  However, I noticed a few of their stories today that caught my attention.  Here’s one that pertains, again, to the 4th Amendment.  I think it’s important to see what the government does and how many major companies are in colusion with the government in how it finds ways to violate our rights; regardless of the source’s political leaning or yours, we all have rights that need to be preserved.

More on the Drone Issue… I Even Agree with the ACLU Here!

People, this is scary to me.  I understand the use of drones in the military against enemy personnel.  I understand the point of using them to spy on other countries and their people; especially their people with any kind of real power.  I can even understand the mindset that makes law enforcement think it’s ok to use drones domestically.  I don’t agree with them, but I understand their reasoning.  I believe using drones, whether armed or unarmed, is a violation of the 4th Amendment.  The objection to the use of drones domestically is even shared by ACLU!  There are actually several cases the ACLU is looking at that I agree with them on, but not too many.

NATO Summit in Chicago

Well, the US government is at it again with the Drones.  As the city of Chicago gears up for the NATO summit, citizens have started claiming to have seen military action going on around the city.  People claim to have seen Blackhawk helicopters with armed soldier in the doors buzzing around and now people are claiming to have seen predator drones in the area, too.  The problem is, no one really knows it the video that boke recently of a Predator drone is real of fake.  Most of the responders on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze claim it to be a fake.  Go to the Blaze and watch the video.  Then tell me what you think.

May 15th, 2012 Show

Tonight’s show will cover all the neat little things going on in politics today.  Keep in mind most of this article is copied from other sources with my commentary slipped in there.  I have some good stuff to go over tonight so listen up and learn what’s really going on out there without the tin hat follery that some of the others give you.  We’re looking at Caroline Kennedy’s dislike for Obama, Obama’s new religious outreach kid, and more.

Privacy Concerns as US Government Rolls Out Domestic Drone Rules

By Catherine Herridge /Published May 14, 2012/

Unmanned drones could soon be buzzing in the skies above many U.S. cities, as the federal government green-lights the technology for local law enforcement amid widespread privacy concerns.
