So you wanna be free!

I hear people talking all the time about how we’ve lost so much in the last 20 years, as far as freedom is concerned; especially since September 11, 2001.  Well, you’re right.  We have lost a lot of the freedoms we once enjoyed.  We have had liberties squashed under the thumbs of tyranny disguised as security.  But, now, people are beginning to wake up and get loud.  So, you want your freedom and liberty back, too?

Obama: The Great Unifier?

Seriously.  I’m going to attempt to lay out the case that President Obama is a great unifier.  You think I’m kidding?  I also contend the current president has been good for business… some business.

WTF is up with the Obama Pentagon?

The following is a post from Todd Starnes at Fox News.  The reason I’m just posting his work is that I couldn’t have said it better myself and I have a sensitivity training thing to go to.  Yeah, me… Like I’m not sensitive to the feelings of others.  Kidding, it’s actually an agency wide program we all have to go through.  Anyway, enjoy the following and tell me your thoughts on it.  Personally, I think it’s total BS and that our country has gone completely freakin’ haywire.

Now, I have a chip on my shoulder!

Where did the term “chip on my/your shoulder” come from?  I’ll have to Google that later, but right now, I have a big problem with some of these asshats in D.C. with the politicizing they’ve already started with the Oklahoma tornadoes.

The days after

I walked into work this morning and was asked by no less than a dozen people how I felt about the election results.  Everyone in my office knows how I feel about President Obama and his policies.  I simply said, “I’m not happy about it, but the US gets the government she deserves.”

Molon Labe, the III%er’s battle cry

Battle cry of Sparta and today’s III%ers

There is an ancient Greek phrase Molon Labe.  Two words that say a lot more than you may think.  Pronounced moˈlon laˈve means “Come and take them”. It is a classical expression of defiance reportedly spoken by King Leonidas I in response to the Persian army’s demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae.

The Left… Wow! So much to talk about!

Where do I begin?  The Left over the last few days have said some really crazy stuff during the DNC convention.  Delegates threatening Mitt Romney, to Sandra Fluke talking about conservatives as if we want to see women raped and not allow them to buy birth control.  But wait, there’s more…

Foot-in-mouth disease rampant in DNC and GOP

Everyday, you hear of some retarded politician opening his mouth and making some idiotic comment that even the dumbest people in our general population wouldn’t make.

Both sides make these remarks from Todd Akin and Karl Rove to John Burton and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Are there more Brandon Raubs out there?

Some people seem to think there may be other Brandon Raubs out there.  Are there?  Are there other vets being held for psychiatric problems because of their political views?

Left leaning media doesn’t care about the truth.

There was a time when the main stream media actually cared about the truth.  They went after the story regardless of who was involved or what their political leanings were.  Reporters and news anchors kept their own political views private, as they should.  We don’t watch them to tell us their political views or who they don’t like; we watch them to tell us the news, straight forward without political bias.

Whatever happened to our freedom of speech?

You’ve heard of the so-called “free-speech zones” around college campuses and various cities in the US.  If you try to peacefully assemble in a non-designated area you could face fines or jail time depending on the specifics.  Then you hear about how Chick-fil-A is being pushed out of cities because of the owners opinion on gay marriage and his devout faith in Jesus.

Liberal rhetoric in the office

I’m sitting here minding my own business and I hear a couple of liberals talking about the Colorado theater shooting.  They were saying the government should put more regulations on firearms.  I’m listening to them and I’m getting irritated as I’m a firm supporter of our Bill of Rights and the US Constitution.

Call me closed minded but…

I will not be seeing Paul Verhoeven’s new film about Christ.  I know that people will say that I need to be more open-minded and look at all possible “truths” into the life of Christ.  They’ll say we have no proof that Jesus is the son of God and that we need to consider all possibilities.

Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door!

Chuck Norris, at 72 years old, is awesome in my book.  As a fellow Oklahoman, conservative,  and former martial artist, I’m proud to say I have a few things in common with him.  You’ve probably heard all the sayings about Chuck Norris making him nearly a super hero; you may have seen his portayal on Family Guy.

Now, he’s coming out to support Republican Scott Walker, embattled governor of Wisconsin.  One thing about Mr. Norris is that he tends to stay out of the spotlight.  The very fact that he’s not involved tell me just how serious this is for Wisconsin and the rest of the US.

So… Now on with the Show

With Memorial Day behind us and the Independence Day ahead of us, we have just over a month until our next day off from work.  We also have just a little over a month until we should remember why we celebrate that day.  It’s not just the 4th of July.  It’s Independence Day.  It recognizes the day out Declaration of Independence was signed.
