Look at me now, baby! That’s usually a phrase someone would say when they’ve achieved something that no one thought could be done or was, at least, unlikely. For example, I got my master’s degree. I, for one, never thought it would happen, but it did. I know several people who figured I’d drop out of college before getting my bachelor’s, let alone my MBA. So, that’s where I would say “look at me now!” However, this is a different story attached to the phrase.
I’m sure you remember those books that gave you a choice to make and that dictated where the story went. It would say something like “if you chose ‘a’ turn to page 23, if you chose ‘b’ turn to page 30.” You had influence on how the story turned out. Well, right now, most of us have no real role in how the events play out on the world stage; the Middle East on fire, China making threats of war to Japan, Europe’s economy on the verge of a huge recession, etc.
You’ve seen all the ads and heard all trash coming out of the candidates’ mouths. It seems these guys have no intention of focusing on the issues, but would rather talk trash about each other. It seems that Obama’s campaign does a little more lying and fabrication than the Romney camp does, but their both guilty of mud slinging. So much gets said that in many cases you have no idea what’s the truth and what’s BS. So here’s how to find out.
So, the supreme court declared the ACA constitutional, but that’s just the beginning of the healthcare hell that awaits us. I’m talking about longer wait times at clinics and hospitals, fewer doctors, rationed medical care and medicines, and the list goes on. What about the privacy issues at hand? What about the fact the IRS now has a hand in your healthcare? How will this effect our economy?
ObamaCare, the largest tax hike in American history, has begun to take effect. You saw the 20 hidden taxes in the previous article. I’ve said since the passage of this monstrosity that this was just a way for the federal government to get more involved in our lives. 6 of those new taxes took effect in 2010 and 2 in 2011. This January, there are 9 more coming into play.
But wait there’s more! This is also the first time the federal government passed a law that tells us that we must purchase a specific product. Now, I know the argument that you have to buy car insurance, but here’s the deal.
There are 20 new taxes associated with the ACA. So President Obama says there won’t be any taxes on the middle class, but, as you know, he’s lied to us again. I swear, this guy is horrible and I sincerely hope he’s a one term president. We can’t afford a 2nd term with this man. He’s just 20 more reasons why.
