Look at me now, baby!

Look at me now, baby!  That’s usually a phrase someone would say when they’ve achieved something that no one thought could be done or was, at least, unlikely.  For example, I got my master’s degree.  I, for one, never thought it would happen, but it did.  I know several people who figured I’d drop out of college before getting my bachelor’s, let alone my MBA.  So, that’s where I would say “look at me now!”  However, this is a different story attached to the phrase.

How to get our country back without firing a single shot

No, the answer is not firing several shots, either.  I have come to believe the answer is to change the country from within ourselves.  So many people preach that they want to go back to a simpler time; a time when we were actually free, when our food was actually food, when family meant something.  However, a lot of those people are more into dreaming of armed conflict and the glory of restoring our country to the vision of our founding fathers.

More economic problems ahead?

Peter Schiff, you know who he is?  He’s an economist, and a damned good one, at that.  He’s featured in many articles and does a lot of interviews on various news shows.  When it comes to economics, he’s a straight shooter and doesn’t care who it offends.

Why, Mr. President? Why?

In the past we have had presidents that have done some stupid things.  The list can go on and on, but I’m not going back to 1860 here.  When I say stupid, I mean things that are politically stupid, not things like Clinton’s cigar incident.

You’re really not gonna like me… if you’re on the Left

Do you remember a time when the United States was the strong, independent nation the world envied?  A lot of you may be too young, I mean, I just caught the tail end of that era.  So why have we fallen?  Yes, folks, we’ve fallen.

The end is nigh!

It’s the end of the world as we know it!  The power grid is shutting down, the stock market has collapsed, people are out of work left and right, gas prices just jumped to a national average of $20 per gallon.

Chicago is taxing handgun buyers for no good reason

Read this story from Fox News.  This is stupid.  I will tell you all the things wrong with this liberal idea.

With gangland shootings becoming an every-day occurrence in Chicago, the Board of Commissioners in surrounding Cook County is trying anew to tackle the deadly problem — with another tax.

What happens if current events take the wrong path?

I’m sure you remember those books that gave you a choice to make and that dictated where the story went.  It would say something like “if you chose ‘a’ turn to page 23, if you chose ‘b’ turn to page 30.”  You had influence on how the story turned out.  Well, right now, most of us have no real role in how the events play out on the world stage; the Middle East on fire, China making threats of war to Japan, Europe’s economy on the verge of a huge recession, etc.

Money money money moneeeeeyyyyyy!

The US just hit another record yesterday!  This time it’s not a good one.  The US federal deficit just broke the $16 trillion point.  I can’t even imagine having access to that kind of cash, but if I did, I like to think I’d spend it better than what those goofballs in DC do.

Truth, Lies, and Political Campaigns

You’ve seen all the ads and heard all trash coming out of the candidates’ mouths.  It seems these guys have no intention of focusing on the issues, but would rather talk trash about each other.  It seems that Obama’s campaign does a little more lying and fabrication than the Romney camp does, but their both guilty of mud slinging.  So much gets said that in many cases you have no idea what’s the truth and what’s BS.  So here’s how to find out.

ObamaCare: What’s in store?

So, the supreme court declared the ACA constitutional, but that’s just the beginning of the healthcare hell that awaits us.  I’m talking about longer wait times at clinics and hospitals, fewer doctors, rationed medical care and medicines, and the list goes on.  What about the privacy issues at hand?  What about the fact the IRS now has a hand in your healthcare?  How will this effect our economy?

Can the GOP repeal ObamaCare?

ObamaCare, the largest tax hike in American history, has begun to take effect.  You saw the 20 hidden taxes in the previous article.  I’ve said since the passage of this monstrosity that this was just a way for the federal government to get more involved in our lives.  6 of those new taxes took effect in 2010 and 2 in 2011.  This January, there are 9 more coming into play.

But wait there’s more!  This is also the first time the federal government passed a law that tells us that we must purchase a specific product.  Now, I know the argument that you have to buy car insurance, but here’s the deal.

The 20 new taxes under ObamaCare

There are 20 new taxes associated with the ACA.  So President Obama says there won’t be any taxes on the middle class, but, as you know, he’s lied to us again.  I swear, this guy is horrible and I sincerely hope he’s a one term president.  We can’t afford a 2nd term with this man.  He’s just 20 more reasons why.

Living on the public dole

Everyday, someone goes into a state or federal agency asking for assistance to pay their living expenses.  It could be someone wanting food stamps or assistance with their utilities or it could be someone asking the federal government for money because they can’t work or are ready to retire.  Well, there are too many social programs like that to deal with all in one article, so this time, I’m covering Social Security.

Soros: Toppling Governments and Changing the World – One Socialist at a Time

I found this on The Blaze after hearing Glenn talk about it this morning and thought it was important enough to put it out there in its entirety.  I didn’t want to change anything about it as I didn’t want to take away from the work MRC and Glenn’s staff did in reporting this.  Enjoy and feel free to comment.
