Potential Armed and Violent Conflict in Nevada

Yesterday, I wrote about the goings on in Clark County, Nevada at the Bundy Ranch.  I discussed that the Bureau of Land Management came in to enforce a lawsuit decision that stemmed from the government’s desire to protect the desert tortoise.  He has been in dispute with the federal government since 1993.

Is Nevada the match that sets it all off?

You may or may not know what’s going on in Nevada right now or the implications it poses for the rest of the US, so let me tell you all about it.  In a nutshell, there is this rancher grazing cattle on public land in Nevada.  Ranchers have done this since the mid-1800s.

So you wanna be free!

I hear people talking all the time about how we’ve lost so much in the last 20 years, as far as freedom is concerned; especially since September 11, 2001.  Well, you’re right.  We have lost a lot of the freedoms we once enjoyed.  We have had liberties squashed under the thumbs of tyranny disguised as security.  But, now, people are beginning to wake up and get loud.  So, you want your freedom and liberty back, too?

How to get our country back without firing a single shot

No, the answer is not firing several shots, either.  I have come to believe the answer is to change the country from within ourselves.  So many people preach that they want to go back to a simpler time; a time when we were actually free, when our food was actually food, when family meant something.  However, a lot of those people are more into dreaming of armed conflict and the glory of restoring our country to the vision of our founding fathers.

Untrusting of the NSA’s domestic spy program?

Then here’s a new little treat for you!  The House voted to keep the NSA’s unconstitutional domestic abuse of power program.  Keep in mind this was not a party line vote.  It was a close vote and party affiliation didn’t seem to matter.  If you scroll down to the bottom section of this article, you’ll see who the traitors are.  They’re the ones in the “No” category, voting to keep the NSA as is.

Political Bias in the IRS?

I found this article on The Blaze and thought you needed to see it if you haven’t already.  Folks, this is HUGE.  It is now known that people of conservative leanings are targeted by the federal government via the IRS for audit.

Have you noticed the change?

On my way into work this morning, I started thinking.  I was listening to one of my favorite radio shows, Glenn Beck, and he was talking about how the liberals are taking over states.  They came out of California and invaded Colorado and look at what happened.  Now they’re moving into Texas.

Is Ron Paul a fake?

Ron Paul has long been a proponent of liberty in the US.  He has also been on the warpath against the UN’s intrusion into American politics and sovereignty, but is he really?  Read this story from Fox News and decide.

Are you registered as a Dem or a Rep? Who really cares?

While I generally vote Republican, I don’t see myself as a party-line voter.  That’s simply because I’m willing to look at both sides of an arguement and will vote the way I feel is right.  I tend to look more to the issues at hand and try to think logically about them, while thinking morally, too.

GOP brought in the MAN!!!

The man!

That’s right!  The GOP brought in the man of men… hope that doesn’t sound wrong.  lol

Clint Eastwood was the mystery speaker last night and I was thrilled!  He has long been my favorite actor and seeing him speak was great!  Although he got mixed reviews by the media, I felt he did great.  Afterall, look what side the media is usually on.

Finally! Someone with half a brain!

Every so often, someone in authority actually uses their power for good.  As is the case of  Judge Allan Sharrett, a Virginia circuit court judge.  This is a judge who, obviously, understands the Bill of Rights and that Brandon Raub’s rights were grossly violated.

What’s happening to the American spirit?

Maybe the question should be, “what’s happened to the American spirit?”  The pioneering spirit of Americans gave us inductive electricity, the telegraph, the push to settle westward, and so much more.  The inventive soul of the American entrepreneur gave us, and continues to do so, various medicines and medical devices that save lives daily.  The American spirit of liberty and justice for all gave us the Bill of Rights and the greatest constitution in the history of the world.  So what’s happened that has slowed our progress and given other countries the advantage over us?

Welcome to Socialism

Well, the long wait to a Supreme Court decision is over.  Chief Justice Robert announced today that Obamacare is constitutional as a tax.  Now, the part I don’t understand is that Obama himself said this wasn’t a tax.

Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door!

Chuck Norris, at 72 years old, is awesome in my book.  As a fellow Oklahoman, conservative,  and former martial artist, I’m proud to say I have a few things in common with him.  You’ve probably heard all the sayings about Chuck Norris making him nearly a super hero; you may have seen his portayal on Family Guy.

Now, he’s coming out to support Republican Scott Walker, embattled governor of Wisconsin.  One thing about Mr. Norris is that he tends to stay out of the spotlight.  The very fact that he’s not involved tell me just how serious this is for Wisconsin and the rest of the US.
