Progessives causing the demise of the American culture

Some people are stupid, flat-out stupid.  There are others that are evil.  There are others that know what’s going on and still other who think they do, but have no clue.   This will likely anger some of the quasi-patriots and the neo-patriots off, but since when have I cared who I make angry. The quasi- and neo-patriots aren’t bad people or of malintent.  They tend to be simply misinformed people who believe they are doing what’s best for the country and her citizens.

Activism in America Today

Everyone has seen the protests held by the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street.  There are numerous groups out there that call themselves activists from all parts of the political spectrum.  I have decided that many activists are simply self absorbed punks serving only their own interest.  For example, Occupy is one of them. It is my opinion that the majority of Occupiers fall into that group of the self-absorbed.  It seems that most of them just want the government to give them things, support them, keep them.  They are just one of the many activist groups I see as posers and fakes.  I’m sure there are people within the movement who really care about others, but there sure seems to be a lot of druggy vandals.  I’m not going to go into all the bad ones, there are plenty and you can find them pretty easily as they make up the majority of those on the web and they don’t typically last very long.

The United States has a proud history of activism.  In fact, without it we wouldn’t have the US.  We would likely still be a part of England.  Without it there wouldn’t be civil rights.

The Good Ones

There are several good ones, but I’m going to highlight just a couple. These are not necessarily lobby groups like the NRA (which I am a proud member) or GOA (which is a really good one, too).  The groups I’m discussing are more grassroots types that care about the country and her people.  These are groups that, while mostly conservative, are not politically affiliated and do not bow to the pressures of politicians and special interest groups.

The Oath Keepers

“Not on Our Watch” is the motto of the Oath Keepers.  This groups primary function is to reach, teach, and inspire military and law enforcement to disobey any unconstitutional order.  You can see the list on their website at  This is a non-partisan group that believes in your constitutional rights.

Sons of Liberty Riders

SOLR is a groups that believes in limited government, true free markets, fiscal responsibility, and most of all, the Constitution.  This group is a mixture of bikers and non-bikers.  You do not have to ride a motorcycle to be a member and there is no cost.  Sons of Liberty Riders can be found here.

Check out these two groups and if you’re interested, feel free to sign up.
