There are a number of meltdowns I believe are coming to the US and to global markets. These things fall into economic, social, and political categories. The social and political fall pretty close together in many instances, so I’ll address those together.
Are you freaking kidding me? Some a-hole decides he wants to kill and maim innocent people out of some sort of political or religiogious ideology and people from the left immediately use the occasion to make politcal statements. In my opinion, even though people like Barney Frank and Chris Matthews didn’t actually blow anyone up, they comments we evil just the same.
Maybe the question should be, “what’s happened to the American spirit?” The pioneering spirit of Americans gave us inductive electricity, the telegraph, the push to settle westward, and so much more. The inventive soul of the American entrepreneur gave us, and continues to do so, various medicines and medical devices that save lives daily. The American spirit of liberty and justice for all gave us the Bill of Rights and the greatest constitution in the history of the world. So what’s happened that has slowed our progress and given other countries the advantage over us?
Read this story from The Blaze. This is the type of thing that makes me glad I live in Oklahoma, rather than some over-bearing liberal hippie state like California.
So, the supreme court declared the ACA constitutional, but that’s just the beginning of the healthcare hell that awaits us. I’m talking about longer wait times at clinics and hospitals, fewer doctors, rationed medical care and medicines, and the list goes on. What about the privacy issues at hand? What about the fact the IRS now has a hand in your healthcare? How will this effect our economy?
Obama’s goons claim the individual mandate is a penalty, not a tax. The Supreme Court calls it a tax. The Romney campaign said it was a penalty, rather than a tax, too. That was until yesterday; Romney came out and finally called it a tax. I think he’s right in doing so, too. It is a tax. Face it, the individual mandate is a tax. That means Obama lied to us again and the people of this great nation fell for his BS again. The fact is, even George Stephanopoulos agrees its a tax, and he’s a liberal!
There are even several Democratic governors around the country distancing themselves from Obama after this fiasco of a healthcare law. Across the board, people are rejecting Obama’s socialist agenda. Both sides of the fence are realizing Obama is an unconstitutional president.
Romney spoke today, contradicting his senor adviser Eric Fehrnstrom saying, “The majority of the court said it is a tax, and therefore it is a tax,” Romney said in an interview with CBS Wednesday, citing the Supreme Court’s health law ruling last week that the individual mandate fell under the federal government’s authority to levy taxes and was therefore constitutional.
“They have spoken. There’s no way around that. You can try and say you wish they had decided a different way, but they didn’t.”
The GOP is gearing up to repeal the ACA after Chief Justice Roberts flipped the Constitution on its side. The dissenting Supreme Court justices spoke out against the ruling almost immediately. What is most disturbing is the language used in the Chief Justice’s decision, written in a way that shows he jumped ship from the conservatives and sided with the liberals. Was he strictly being “constitutional” or was he setting a fire in the pants of the conservatives and the Tea Party? That’s my question. It looks as if he just stabbed us in the back, but we’ll see.
ObamaCare, the largest tax hike in American history, has begun to take effect. You saw the 20 hidden taxes in the previous article. I’ve said since the passage of this monstrosity that this was just a way for the federal government to get more involved in our lives. 6 of those new taxes took effect in 2010 and 2 in 2011. This January, there are 9 more coming into play.
But wait there’s more! This is also the first time the federal government passed a law that tells us that we must purchase a specific product. Now, I know the argument that you have to buy car insurance, but here’s the deal.
There are 20 new taxes associated with the ACA. So President Obama says there won’t be any taxes on the middle class, but, as you know, he’s lied to us again. I swear, this guy is horrible and I sincerely hope he’s a one term president. We can’t afford a 2nd term with this man. He’s just 20 more reasons why.
