Whatever happened to our freedom of speech?

You’ve heard of the so-called “free-speech zones” around college campuses and various cities in the US.  If you try to peacefully assemble in a non-designated area you could face fines or jail time depending on the specifics.  Then you hear about how Chick-fil-A is being pushed out of cities because of the owners opinion on gay marriage and his devout faith in Jesus.

Why I like John Stossel

Many of you may know John Stossel was a liberal consumer reporter, but look at what he’s turned into.  This man is not only a libertarian, but he actually seeks the truth.  He doesn’t kiss butt or beat around the bush.  He also doesn’t necessarily take the GOP or DNC sides in causes.  He seems to promote and explain the facts regardless of who it benefits.  That’s a good thing.

One of the things I found to be kind of funny, though, is that his guest are generally conservative.  Why is that?  Is it that Republicans tend to prefer the truth more often than Democrats?  Yes… yes they do, but that’s not the reason.  I believe the reason is that conservatives tend to have more of a libertarian point of view… well, a smaller government point of view, at least.

No holds barred politics.  That’s what I like.  John Stossel does it with class and intelligence.  Go read the guys bio.  He’s a heck of a guy with a good story.

Say hello to your nanny: Michael Bloomberg

Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.

Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.  This is right on the heals of his assault on soda.

Is the 2nd Amendment on the ropes?

It seems that every time some moron decides to go shooting people, the loons on the left go after the guns.  That’s expected.  It always goes that way.

My argument used to be the criminals will get the guns anyway.  The only people gun control hurts are the law abiders.  However, this time the guy bought the guns legally, as well as the ammo.  Obviously, one of the many laws he broke was that he lied about his mental illness on the gun application.  So what do we do?  Do we change the laws to better control that sort of thing?

Everyone is different, therefore everyone copes with loss differently.  How do deal with loss; whether that’s a loved one, a marriage, a pet, or anything else important to you, could mean the difference between a healthy recovery and a lingering, painful journey.

I always find it funny the left can be such asshats when it comes to morals and their beliefs.  This nest piece is just the lastest example of that.  “The party of tolerance,” by butt.  More like “the party of do as I say or go to hell.”

Obama pledges to reduce gun violence

Obama went to Colorado in the wake of the theater massacre and promised an audience of mostly black Americans that similar tragedies, but on a smaller scale, happen every day.  He, then, went on to pledge to reduce gun violence in the US.  Good!

Do you want a man in the presidency that takes money from the morally bankrupt? I don’t.  Obama got money from Bill Maher; and as if that’s not bad enough, he also got support from various other shady characters, as you may know.  Well, another one has come to light.

Liberal rhetoric in the office

I’m sitting here minding my own business and I hear a couple of liberals talking about the Colorado theater shooting.  They were saying the government should put more regulations on firearms.  I’m listening to them and I’m getting irritated as I’m a firm supporter of our Bill of Rights and the US Constitution.
