Nevada: The first stand

As many of you know, Nevada may mark the first stand against the federal government that may spark the initial volley into a new revolution or civil war.  As militiamen and women converged on the Bundy’s ranch and surrounding area in Clark County, Nevada, we saw something that hasn’t happened in this country since the mid 1800s.  We saw armed Americans show up in force against an abusive federal government.

Potential Armed and Violent Conflict in Nevada

Yesterday, I wrote about the goings on in Clark County, Nevada at the Bundy Ranch.  I discussed that the Bureau of Land Management came in to enforce a lawsuit decision that stemmed from the government’s desire to protect the desert tortoise.  He has been in dispute with the federal government since 1993.

Is Nevada the match that sets it all off?

You may or may not know what’s going on in Nevada right now or the implications it poses for the rest of the US, so let me tell you all about it.  In a nutshell, there is this rancher grazing cattle on public land in Nevada.  Ranchers have done this since the mid-1800s.

Know your surroundings

In today’s world, it’s important to know what’s going on around you.  It could save your life.  There is a concept taught in the military and on police forces called situational awareness.  It simple means to know what’s going on around you.  There are a few things you need to know to be proficient in the concept.

I remember a day when unruly kids got their little butts whipped.  You folks remember that?  I remember a day when you screwed up in school, the teacher gave you swats.  The best part is some of them took great joy in it. Kidding, but you know some did.

This story gets more maddening by the day, if not by the hour.  How can a court, or any other agency, prosecute a father for trying to help his daughter?  You see with a gag order in place, he cannot technically talk about the case, however, what is he to do when the very agencies that are supposedto help him are working against him?  Read the story below from The Blaze. Pay cuts in the wrong places

Congress….  When I think of Congress, I think of the opposite of progress.  You know, pros and cons.  So, when I see in the news that Congress decided to cut the benefits and pensions of active and retired military, I start to think to myself that those selfish people in Congress have their priorities wrong.  I used the term “people” because this is a family friendly blog… well, I try to keep it family friendly.

Affluenza?

So, I assume you’ve heard about that 16 year old rich kid who got all kinds of screwed up and drove hitting and killing 4 people.  His punishment?  10 years probation.  Yeah, I’m serious.  All because the judge agreed that the kid’s parents never taught him right from wrong.

Turning a new leaf

I have decided to become a progressive liberal.  I have also decided to support, blindly mind you, anything Obama and his liberal friends say.  I will support all UN missions inside the US and abroad.  I will work hard to make the world a better place as I am now a global citizen and a huge fan of the EPA, ATF, IRS, NSA, and DOJ.

So you wanna be free!

I hear people talking all the time about how we’ve lost so much in the last 20 years, as far as freedom is concerned; especially since September 11, 2001.  Well, you’re right.  We have lost a lot of the freedoms we once enjoyed.  We have had liberties squashed under the thumbs of tyranny disguised as security.  But, now, people are beginning to wake up and get loud.  So, you want your freedom and liberty back, too?

McCain say whaaaaaat?

So, I assume you remember that big ol’ furlough we went through last month and Ted Cruz gave an impassioned (and long) speech about defunding ObamaCare in an effort to repeal it.  During that whole thing, the good (sarcasm) Senator John McCain talked about Cruz being a nutjob; an extremist.

How to get our country back without firing a single shot

No, the answer is not firing several shots, either.  I have come to believe the answer is to change the country from within ourselves.  So many people preach that they want to go back to a simpler time; a time when we were actually free, when our food was actually food, when family meant something.  However, a lot of those people are more into dreaming of armed conflict and the glory of restoring our country to the vision of our founding fathers.
